CHRIS BROWN DENIED BAIL,ORDERED TO REMAIN IN JAIL TILL APRIL 23RD

Chris Brown was in court yesterday Monday March 17th to face a judge for violating his probation and by the end of his hearing, the judge denied him bail and ordered that he remains in jail until his next hearing...which is not until April 23rd. This means he will be in jail for at five weeks. Oh dear!

His request to enter a new rehab facility after getting kicked out for the second time was denied...

ANGELINA JOLIE TO UNDERGO MORE PREVENTIVE CANCER SURGERIES

Actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie has revealed she's in the process of going under the knife again as a preventive measure against the spread of cancer.

The mother of six who had both breasts removed last year after tests showed she carried a gene which increased her chances of contracting both breast and ovarian cancer, told Entertainment Weekly the new operation is to prevent ovarian cancer

MISSING MALAYSIAN PLANE FLEW FIVE MORE HOURS AFTER ITS COMMUNICATION SYSTEMSHUT DOWN

U.S investigators believe that the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 communication system were shut off manually and that the plane flew for at least 5 more hours after it dropped off the radar based on analysis of signals sent by the jet's satellite communication link.

 U.S counterterrorism officials are pursuing the possibility that a pilot or someone else on board the plane may have diverted it toward an undisclosed location after intentionally turning off the jetliner's transponders to avoid radar detection, according to one person tracking the probe.

Three separate tracking devices shut down during the flight, 14 minutes apart, and continued to fly after the last known contact, which means the plane was intentionally diverted. But by who? The pilots or it was hijacked and diverted? If this theory is to be believed, then it means the plane landed somewhere and everyone is safe and alive? Very unlikely!

Malaysian authorities said yesterday that they have several "pings" from the plane's data system, transmitted to satellites in the five hours after the plane's last communication, suggesting the plane flew to the Indian Ocean, which is in the opposite direction of the plane's original route. U.S govt have now sent a search party to the Indian Ocean

FORMER SIERRA LEONEAN PRESIDENT, AHMAD TEJAN KABBAH,DIES

Former President of Sierra Leone Ahmad Tejan Kabbah has died after a protracted illness. He died yesterday March 13th at his home in Sierra Leone.

"Former president Kabbah died at his home around 3:50 pm and the body has been transferred to the... funeral home in Freetown,"a statement read

President Kabbah would be remembered for helping to bring peace back to war torn Sierra Leone during his tenure. He was 82 years old. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

62 year old football legend and President of German Football Club, Bayern Munich, Uli Hoeness, has been sentenced to 3 and a half years in prison after he was found guilty of dodging 27.2million euros in taxes through an undeclared Swiss bank account. TEN SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS DIE IN AUTOCRASH IN KASTINA

Ten students of Government Day Secondary School in Kankara town in Katsina state yesterday lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident when a truck loaded with timber which they boarded to help get them to school had a head on collision with another truck which was coming from the opposite direction.

10 of the students died on the spot while four were critically injured. Their corpses were taken to the Kankara General Hospital. Activities at their school was suspended to mourn the dead students. May their souls rest in peace..Amen.

OJB SETS UP KIDNEY FOUNDATION

Prolific music producer Babatunde Okungbowa aka OJB has set up a kidney related foundation that would focus on helping kidney patients in the country. OJB who is still recuperating from a Kidney transplant he had last year in India spoke with Encomium magazine about the Foundation

"It  would be called OJB Foundation. We are trying to set up one or more dialysis centers which patients will use at highly affordable cost. To this end we are discussing with partners who would make this happen. We are about to start the programme. We don't just want to be begging for funds. We have to look for a sustainable format. So we want to start a Save 20 campaign. From there, we move on with the support of the private sector, Government and Non Governmental Organizations, NGO" OJB said.

OJB also said he is currently working on his new album which is expected to drop in June.

Singer Djinee, who is a friend and currently resides in Port Harcourt, confirmed the news and said the gunmen took him away in a Mistsubishi Endeavor SUV after shooting him in the leg. MILITARY SHUT DOWN TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICE IN BORNO STATE

The Nigerian military yesterday shut down all telecommunication services in Borno state as it takes on Boko Haram activities. Residents in the state woke up yesterday to a "No Service" signal on their phones.

Confirming the shutdown, spokesman of the 7-Division of the Nigeria Army, Muhammed Dole said its a military move necessary under the present circumstance.

"We all know the inconveniences that this might have brought, but it is a necessary and temporary measure that will not take long time” Dobe said.

48 year old mother of three Racheal Dilly who got diagnosed with HIV in 2004 said prior to her diagnosis had thought HIV/AIDS only affected Africans because she didn't know any white person who had the disease at the time.

Speaking with hosts of ITV Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, yesterday, Racheal Dilly said she got infected after she dated a man she met online and had unprotected sex with him. She said she started falling ill when they ended their relationship and she was asked to go do HIV test after all other test conducted read negative.

"I just didn't know anything about it. I just thought you got it in Africa. I didn't know a white person had ever got it". Dilly said to her amazed hosts yesterday.
